Job Description

We’re seeking a Full-time Commercial Lines Account Manager with a passion for ensuring client satisfaction and success. The Commercial Lines Account Manager will serve our commercial insurance clients and support our Commercial Insurance Manager.

We are a well-established independent insurance agency of over 40 years in the Brighton/Henrietta area.

Responsibilities:

  • Support our Commercial Insurance Manager with duties and tasks including, but not limited to, the following:
  • Reviewing risks with underwriters, completing Acord and supplemental applications for new business quotes with multiple insurance carriers
  • Assisting with policy renewals (working with insured to complete applications, create and send premium invoices, etc.)
  • Reviewing policies for accuracy
  • Assist in answering phones and provide exceptional service to all clients
  • Issue certificates of insurance, binders, and auto ID cards
  • Assist clients with billing and answering general policy questions
  • Develop a good rapport with clients to build strong agency relationships

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience managing commercial insurance policies from multiple insurance carriers and brokers
  • Computer literacy in Windows operating system, Microsoft Office (Word and Excel), and Google Apps (Mail, Calendar, Chat, Docs, and Sheets)

Requirements:

  • Diligent and focused attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and demonstrate critical thinking to troubleshoot obstacles
  • Ability to professionally communicate with clients, prospective clients, coworkers, insurance carriers, and all other contacts
  • Dedicated work ethic and positive attitude
  • Demonstrate respect, courtesy, honesty, and fairness in all situations
  • Practice discretion when dealing with confidential client information

Preferred Education and Licenses:

  • Current New York State Property and Casualty insurance license
  • Associate's degree
  • 1-2 years of commercial insurance experience

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $55,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
