Innotech Windows + Doors is a leading window and door manufacturer located in Langley, BC. We are passionate about manufacturing high-performance windows and doors to help our clients design and build highly sustainable buildings for a healthier planet.
We are seeking energetic and dynamic Product Representatives to join our growing sales team. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years sales experience with a strong desire to work in a construction or windows and doors industry.
Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Product Representative will be responsible for all activities around the generation and maintenance of sales for new construction single family project. They will be provided training but once established will primarily work independently to achieve sales targets and long-term customer satisfaction. The primary function of the product representative is business development and the provision of expert consultation.
Responsibilities:
- Call on builders, homeowners, architects regarding new construction projects
- Follow up on leads & referrals
- Participate in trade shows & other campaigns
- Review architectural specs and blue prints
- Analyze the client needs and design window/door assemblies to suit the job
- Complete “take-offs” and “quotes”
- Maintain constant contact with client throughout process
- Prepare presentations, proposals and sales contracts
- Document all leads/contacts/accounts/opportunities into CRM
- Provide a variety of reports including activity, pipeline, closing & follow-ups
- Provide feedback on market conditions
- Participate in training sessions (webinar or predetermined site)
Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
- Two years related sales experience with a strong desire to work in a construction or windows and doors industry.
- Passionate about building science, sustainability and high-performance construction, such as net-zero energy and Passive House.
- Understanding of takeoffs and familiarity with fenestration industry terminology.
- High level of integrity & reliability
- Excellent written and oral communication skills with an ability to consult and persuade others
- Self-motivated wit h an ability to prioritize and get the job done
- Excellent scheduling & time management abilities
- An interest in design and how doors and windows achieve an architectural intent as well as performance based criteria
- Familiarity with Microsoft office and ability to learn other company software as needed.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule around client needs
- A valid driver’s license and a vehicle
- Although this is a sales position, preference will be shown to those with a background in construction, building science or architecture
Working from the home office, showroom or vehicle is normal as is travel to jobsites and to meet clients. It’s the variety that can make each day interesting. Typical hours revolve around normal business hours but it’s also normal to work around client needs which can be on the weekends or evenings.
