About the position(s)

LED Roadway Lighting Limited is seeking the best and brightest to join our growing team of professionals at our Halifax, Nova Scotia headquarters location.

We are currently seeking bilingual candidates who are fluent in both English & French or English & Spanish. Unfortunately, we are not looking for candidates with other language skills at this time. The prospective candidate would join the inside sales team and provide technical product support and write proposals to support other sales team members. To start this role, prospective candidates should start the role in-person and will work towards a more flexible hybrid work arrangement after the probation period as they learn from other employees and become more effective at the job.

Responsibilities:

· Work with the sales team to develop customer proposals for smart city solutions using adaptive lighting, controls, and other smart city sensor technology – this will be the preparation of RFP (Request for Proposal) / RFQ (Request for Quotes) / RFI (Request for Information) for various bids and tenders

· Be prepared to analyze and look to make proposals which meet both long-term and short-term customer needs, budget, and objectives

· Compute Cost Benefit Analysis for customer projects bases on customer input data. Calculate additional project benefits as required

· Use software to create and prepare lighting layouts as per client specifications.

· Develop, maintain and track a detailed list of customer leads, sales opportunities and project activities using corporate CRM tools and processes

· Create, and maintain agreements for representatives and distributors who sell LRL products

· Assist Sales, Reps, and Account Managers to achieve sales volume and growth.

· Assist on requirements for trade shows and related events.

· Work on special/other company projects as needed.

Qualifications:

· Completion of post-secondary education in a technical field (e.g., Electrical Engineering Technology Diploma, Bachelor of Technology program) OR completion of post-secondary education in Business with a proven technical aptitude.

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

· Fluent and functional in either French and/or Spanish are required for this role. Please mention in your cover letter and for reading, writing, and speaking for each language.

· Customer service experience is preferred, or other customer-related skills such as Relationship Development, Negotiation, and ability to speak clearly on complex technical matters.

· Strong technical competence will be required to work with software program that builds lighting layouts (e.g. Dialux, and AGi32).

· Organizational, prioritizing, and planning abilities.

· Excellent time management skills and proven ability to meet deadlines.

· Advanced knowledge of MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, OneNote)

· Energetic team player with a high degree of initiative and innovation, able to work independently with minimal supervision, while handling multiple tasks, limited information and changing priorities

· Familiarity with Auto CAD is considered an asset.

· General information technology literacy/competency will be required to work with customer relationship management software and other programs to deliver customer solutions, capture sales activities and report on progress and goals

Base Salary Range: $ 40,000 - $50,000 + Sales Incentive Plan (Bonus)

Please Note: This role qualifies to participate in a Sales Incentive Plan (Sales Bonus) built around annual targets which can be up to 30% of the salary when all targets are met.
