Job Description
As the Flooring Sales Manager Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our sales team in all aspects of administrative and operational tasks. You will be responsible for managing paperwork, creating work orders, assisting with project coordination, and ensuring seamless communication between the sales team, clients, and vendors. Your strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in Microsoft Office and estimating software will be essential in contributing to the success of our sales department.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage paperwork and documentation related to sales orders, contracts, and client correspondence.
- Create and process work orders for flooring installations, including scheduling, material orders, and project coordination.
- Assist with project estimating and bidding process using estimating software (e.g., MeasureSquare, RFMS, etc.).
- Coordinate with vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of materials and completion of projects.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of sales transactions, quotes, and invoices.
- Assist Sales Manager with administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, answering inquiries, and maintaining customer databases.
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for process improvement and efficiency.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and adhere to company policies and procedures.
- Other responsibilities may be added as needed
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in administrative support or sales assistant role, preferably in the flooring industry.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is required.
- Experience with estimating software (e.g., MeasureSquare, RFMS, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both written and verbal.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in data entry and documentation.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Professional demeanor with a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation may be required for occasional travel.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00-$22.77 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
