Job Description:
We currently have 3 open positions with our Canadian Sales team, one in BC, one in Alberta and one in Quebec. The selected individuals will represent Bold by Nature in, calling on independent pet retailers, working as a team with our other reps, head office, as well as our local distribution partner. Building strong and trusting relationships, this person will strive to promote brand awareness and increase territory sales and placements, meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- This position requires daily travel, as well as overnight travel, (5 nights every 4 to 6 weeks)
- Visit 20 existing BBN retailers per week, monitor existing sales, identify gaps in our product offering, promote new product launches and ISO’s, merchandise stores as per our brand guidelines and standards
- Actively look for new retailer opportunities, following up in a timely fashion and ultimately bringing new retailers into the BBN family, moving through the sales cycle efficiently, thinking outside of the box, with the best interest of the company, the retailer and the consumer in mind.
- Maintain and update activity reports and account information in our CRM
- Promote brand awareness, with consumers and retailers, deliver education and product training to as required, some weekend availability is required.
- Work weekend consumer and industry trade shows as required.
- Work closely and communicate regularly with the distributor reps. assigned to your territory.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years’ experience of territory sales in the consumer packaged goods industry
- Proven and measurable success as a territory manager, ability to identify opportunities and think out of the box.
- Superior communication skills, written and spoken.
- Strong ability to build and maintain relationships.
- Good computer skills, especially with Microsoft office
- Pet specialty retail experience, knowledge of raw diets and natural pet diets are an asset but will train the right individual.
- Maintain a home office, however must be on the road visiting retail stores, 90% of the time
- Availability to work occasional evenings and weekends
- Must have own reliable vehicle, with a clean and current driving license.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $60,000.00-$70,000.00 per year
